This captivating coffee has been a true delight for our team right from the moment we experienced its first sip during the cupping session.

From the very first encounter, we were immediately captivated by the unique qualities that set this Kenyan gem apart. Its vibrant aroma and enticing flavors entwined with mouthwatering acidity and a mesmerizing brightness, creating an unparalleled coffee experience that tantalizes the taste buds.

Kiawamururu Washing Station

This AA lot was produced by smallholders of Kiawamururu Cooperative wet mill. The local factory was initially under the great Mukurwe-ini Society now Rumukia Farmers’ Cooperative Society as of 2004. Since 2021 Kiawamururu operates as a single factory run and managed by 9 board members.

Farmers selectively handpick the ripest, reddest cherries grown in volcanic loam soil. Cherries are hand sorted prior to pulping, with damaged and under ripe cherries being separated out from the red, ripe lots. The coffee is fermented and washed in clean, fresh water to remove all traces of mucilage. The coffee is delivered to dry on raised African beds.

 WE ROAST OUR COFFEE FRESH EVERY MONDAY. ALL ORDERS PLACED BEFORE 6:00 AM (ET) ON MONDAY WILL BE SHIPPED THE NEXT DAY (TUESDAY). ORDERS PLACED AFTER THIS CUT-OFF TIME WILL BE ROASTED AND SHIPPED THE FOLLOWING WEEK.
